Synopsis
Manuk, an overly imaginative man-child who never leaves his bedroom who ends up not only becoming the black sheep of the neighbourhood but also the prime suspect in a serial murder case.
Director Biography
Sigit Pradityo started making short film when he just graduated from high school. His first short film was made, with some friends, during a time of riots in Indonesia, the film itself are about the life of private detective. Using a camcorder and a limited equipment, Sigit started his way to become a director.
In 2002, he made 30 minutes short movie “Kotak” (Box). Shortly afterwards Sigit make a film documentary about treasure hunter in Indonesia but never been release. Along with filmmaking in progress, Sigit made a graphic novel “SatrioPiningit “(Hidden Knight) based on the story in the documenter.
Sigit studied filmmaking by attending some filmmaking workshops and by being active in the film community.
Sigit also made several music video for known indie bands in Indonesia, notably Zeke Khaseli ‘s solo project. Sigit also lectures some film workshops several times title “How to make low budget films”.
Sigit previous short film are Kotak (2002), Kultus (2010), Robot Ngisup,Clown,The Holy Woman (2011). KurungManuk (2016) is his first feature length film.
